Dolce & Gateaux - Montreal, Quebec

I always run to Dolce Gateaux for cakes on every special occasion. I love that they accommodate your customized cakes for a reasonable price. They also serve great lattes and cupcakes. I only wished they were more organized in handling email requests. I was very disappointed , i couldn't wait to go try a cupcake and macaroons. And when i got there i wanted q box of 6 cupcakes of the flavors that where on display. But in the end i ended up only getting 3 cupcakes since all the other 3 flavors where ... not available. And to top it off everything is frozen from the cupcakes i got to the macaroons. To the cake at the front next to the cash. I guess they rather supply then have a baker there on site. Not impressed. But one thing that did made me happy are the gelato It was good i ordered 4 diffrent flavors. Over all i came all the way from the west island of montreal because the pictures of the cupcakes looked amazing and fresh and the frosting looked so fluffy on the pictures but it ended up being all lies. I went to alot of cupcakes places and this is not one I'll return too. Please at least have a baker on site Or make some cupcakes fresh of the day. GOOD: This bakery reminds me of Cho-Colat before they closed down. They have gourmet cupcakes and cakes. I bought lots of macaroons, cupcakes and a small cake and it was delicious. BAD: A bit pricey.

The lady who served me at the Bonaventure store last week was very rude. She also had a cough and didn't bother to put her arm in front of her mouth when she was almost choking while putting my cupcakes in the box. Dissapointed.

Best Gelato I've ever had, could not rate the location I had found by accident in a building centre in downtown Montréal so I'm rating this one. Friendly service will try to find again on next visit.
