Boulangerie Le Marquis - Montreal, Quebec

When it comes to gluten free pastries, I’ve not seen a single bakery that comes close to what you can get at Boulangerie Le Marquis. I live in Ottawa but always come here when I’m in Montreal. I’ve had a lot of the tarts, but the Pain Chocolate and Croissants (both ... gluten free) are certainly the best. The dough is actually laminated, the way you’d expect a croissant to be. So many gluten free bakeries have let me down on that front but this is not one of them! You can buy them fresh or frozen. It was toasty warm in here but the croissant was heaven I almost didn’t notice my sweat 😅 I wanted to get one of everything! The croissant was so good I had to go back and get another. Best gluten free I’ve ever had.

A fine selection of gluten free breads, pastries and desserts. The quinoa bread we took home is superior to most gluten free breads we’ve tried. The pastries here give gluten free folks the opportunity to have the montreal “Chocolatine” experience.

The croissant was the best I've had in my entire life and now I can't enjoy the croissant options in gluten free bakery's in my home city Calgary Alberta. Great vegan tartes; they have hazelnut, pear/pistachio, apple and I believe their last vegan option is raspberry. The cafe only has two seats to dine in and I only saw bubble tea drinks but they may have other beverages.
