Patisserie Rhubarbe - Montreal, Quebec

I ordered a chocolate cake from here and it was absolutely delicious. It was the biscuit-roulé au chocolat and it was beautifully made and tasted amazing!

I ordered 1000 feuille for as a birthday cake. The size was 4-5 people which I found quite small but enough for two people (since we celebrated together). The cake tasted fresh, really good. Personally, we were not fan of the coffee taste of one of the layers as we personally ... don’t like coffee. We wish the website would give options to choose all vanilla and add a birthday inscription (which it didn’t and I had to request the day of and pay 5$) Overall I would definitely try again their cakes. The best desserts I've tried since Patrice Patisserie closed in Montreal. I definitely recommend it.

Service is friendly. Lots of choices of Cakes but come early as they dont prepare much! Love the mille feulle. The crisp of the pastry is❤️. It runs out fast. I came twice to get it.

This place has been on my hit list since it first opened. I've started over the years to I got a real sweet tooth and real appreciation for pastries of all kinds. While I was here at Rhubarbe I had to make the most of it, only because it's so far ... from me that I needed to try as many of the things as I possibly could haha Here is what I got in order of my favourite to least favorites, and I want to state for the record, that even tho it was MY least favorite, they are still GREAT pastries just not my favourite amounts the bunch but I would get them all again! 😅 First we have the seabuckthorn cheesecake which I didn't think at all would be my favorite but it was. Very light and airy, definitely a show stopper for me. Next we have the pistachio-grapefruit dacquoise which I thought would be my number one fav but it was so close, I gave it the number 2 spot only cuz for me it missed that punch but still wow! Loved all the textures in this one, for sure an amazing bite on every fork full. If you like chocolate-pear then this is definitely the one to choose. Very decadent without being very heavy and everything mixed very well. How they got 10 layers in this citrus-olive oil étagé pastry I'll never know, very unique and packed a great bunch of citrus in each mouthful without it being overwhelming. The eclair with coffee-cardamom-marmelade was good, love the flavour profiles really worked well The Lemon tart although a classic, simple but  delicious never the less but I've had it all before when it comes to lemon tarts haha.
