Growing up in Point Saint Charles, Quebec Smoked Meat Shop was always a go to place for the best smoked meat! Over the years it has not changed. It is with much sadness to hear of its closing. Went there to try their sandwich. Don't expect a hot steaming brisket being sliced fresh for your enjoyment. Instead it's a presliced, prewraped, microwaved meat you basically get from a supermarket then put on between rye bread. $10 for a sandwich, chewy, not moist and tender the type ... you'll get at a restaurant. Hands down the best smoked meat in MTL. You can choose between lean, fatty, or get a mix of both! So tender. So delicious. Actually has flavor and a perfectly seasoned edge, where I find places like Schwartz lacks. The people here are super friendly and helpful. Prices are great. ... Great place, small, almost walked by it. Glad we didn't. Guys beside the counter were nice and friendly. Smoked meat sandwich was everything I wanted; juicy, little bit of fat, large portion of meat! I would recommend going for a bite. No where to sit, but we stood at the window ... and that was fine as the meal was eaten so fast. Read more
