Sir Winston Churchill Pub - Montreal, Quebec

Seems like a nice enough restaurant, however our experience was not so great. My boyfriend and I went for drinks during happy hour as we saw the advertisement for 2 drinks for the price of 1. We sat on the nice terrace and the waitress asked if we were here ... for happy hour, to which we replied yes, because we wanted to use the 2 for 1. So we each order a drink, and then another, so 4 drinks total and we should only pay 2. However when the bill came, we were charged for all 4 drinks. When we inquired about this, the waitress responded that the drinks we took were not part of the promotion. Apparently it’s written in small character at the bottom of the menu that not all drinks are included. It really sucks because we literally told her that we came especially for the promotion, and she decided not to mention that what we chose wasn’t part of it. So, they charged us 60$+ for our drinks. Great happy hour and nice second floor patio in early afternoon. Come early when weather is nice since the patio fills up quickly! Very friendly to English speakers too! 😀

My very first time in Montreal, after being climbing the steep step to get the view of the city i felt like something nice and i think i ended up in the right place!

The bartender was very nice and accommodating. Drinks were very inexpensive and at night on Tuesdays there is an excellent $2.50 promotion.

Kind of reminded me of the bar where Quincy used to drink. Like a subterranean lounge theme but with dance music or whatever. Staff were helpful. Happy hour in Montreal is a good jam. Food was plentiful and pleasant.
