Patisserie Au Kouign Amann - Montreal, Quebec

Everything was delicious. My favorite was the almond croissant. Coffee was also good. Enjoyed watching the pastries being made. Feels like a neighborhood treasure. Judging by the foot traffic, has quite the following but not uncomfortably busy or crowded. Just steady.

I loved the cozy vibe of this space. It was a pretty small cafe, two tables but I was able to get seating as most people came for take outs. The Koiugn Amann was so yummy! It would've been a shame if they didn't do their namesake justice...but they absolutely knocked it out of the park! Excellent Kouign Amann with a crispy sweet exterior and flaky buttery interior. Would've loved to also try their croissants but they sell out quick!

8 years ago I stumbled into this Cafe accidentally and had one of the best desserts I had ever eaten. Now 8 years later I had the pleasure of eating it again. Nowhere else I have tried kouign amann comes close to the pastry here. Crackling, chewy crust, and an ... almost custardy soft inside. 10/10 would eat again. A must eat for any Montreal trip. First come walking into this place and it is so bright and dainty. Truthfully I didn’t order their specialty menu item. I went in for an Americano and a fresh Croissant. The croissant was flaky and just the right amount of chewy. There were only two tables and I felt a ... bit guilty taking up a table just for myself. So I took off a star just because it seems like a place where you grab and go your order. There is a lot of foot traffic and I over heard a lot of customers say that this was their favourite spot!
