Yellow River Chinese Restaurant - Kingston, Ontario

The prices at this restaurant are very expensive for what you get: the portions are tiny and the food isn't anything special. The combo pictured below cost almost $20. They also only take cash below like $30 or something. The restaurant itself is old and dated.

这个chicken 很不好. Literally a batter chicken, ordered a BOGO orange chicken through Ubereats and half of the chicken is covered with batter, this is more like a batter chicken .I cant believe this was cooked at a restaurant cuz chicken is so overcooked idk how they managed to do this. ... Chicken fried rice is pretty much just overpriced riced with less chicken then you will find on a wing. Good thing kingston is full of other options.

I have had this chow mein dish from many many restaurants all over Canada and this one is my far the worst for the portion and price. $18 before tax. I have never recieved this chow mein from anywhere in such a small portion for that unreasonable price. It's always ... been the big square container never this small rectangular one. We are glad we came to this restaurant. We're tourists and we find the quality, taste and standard of their dishes comparable to those in Hong Kong. Particularly the Beef Horfun. The owners Jerry and his wife were really helpful and friendly. The dining experience was great. Its also a peaceful ... and quiet place to dine in. Read more
