The Mansion - Kingston, Ontario

This used to be a great place. Cracked beer glasses, poor beer quality clean the damn lines, food was sub par and everything was coated in oil. Not to mention the server who was so inept at doing anything, that we had to wait forever for drinks, and food, and refills ... on drinks, was not worth the 150$ we gave to this once wonderful establishment. Probably the worst dinning experience ever. We went to the restaurant for dinner because we had tickets for a show upstairs. (Absolutely unmaintained as well). Our server went above and beyond for us. She was very apologetic for things she had no control over. We had reservations for 6:30pm. We ordered fairly quickly. Food ... arrived at 7:30. I have been down this road with the mansion before and I’m sorry I came back, the server was nice but the bartender and kitchen were so slow it was almost criminal. The food after a wait of over an hour was awful, truly horrible. It wasn’t even busy bar ... was completely dead. Can’t believe I came back, won’t happen again. Read more

My three girlfriends and I were at the Mansion for a Christmas get together early December. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last !!! We honestly loved it ! The food was delicious (I had the Mansion Mac n'Cheese), and the atmosphere was ... great. The bartender working that night (I think his name was Omar), was so super friendly and talked to us every time we needed a drink. He had us laughing, and made us feel really welcomed that night. We ended up cancelling the rest of our plans that night and just stayed for a couple of hours longer since we were enjoying ourselves. If you haven't been to this place, you definitely have to go!! I think it’s about time food and safety come to this establishment. Here’s a picture of another cockroach sitting next to our table. I can only imagine what the kitchen infestation is like if these bugs are coming out into the dining area. The service is absolutely sub par, we’ve been sitting ... here for close to 2hrs now, with, again, SUB PAR service. I had to go up to the bar after being seated for a while to ask for drinks, then another time to order, then another time to ask for condiments and side plates. It took an hour and a half for the food to come out, and the establishment was only 1/4 full…. What happened Mansion? Is it time to close up and move on? Or do your job and hire staff to serve the population that pays for your disgusting roach infested food? Avoid this place at all cost. Spend your money, literally, anywhere else in this town. *edit* Literally just had the worst waitress in the world walk by our table, everything stacked, we’re done, it’s cleaned off to the side and she walked past, like, we don’t need a bill.
