The owners are very generous. The sushi is always tasty and the food arrives fast.
Best sushi in Sherwood Park! The owners Vu and Li are wonderful and their food is not only delicious, it is beautiful as well. The also support my school by bringing in a "Sushi Experience" for grade 8 social students so they can taste authentic sushi without risk. They make a variety ... of 'safe' sushi for the kids to try and cater to the risk takers with a huge variety of tasty treats. Check out Miki Sushi next time you are hungry!! Read more
Why in the world is this place rated 4.6!?!?!? I've rated it 1 star to offset that ridiculous rating (otherwise I'd rate it average). Don't believe any of the 5-star ratings you see; it's a lie. This is maybe a step up from Tokyo Express in that they don't pre-make ... their rolls but make it to order. The sushi rice doesn't stick together, nor does it have a slight hint of rice vinegar as it's supposed to have. The nigiri shrimp was basically laid onto the rice. Picking up the rolls, they fall apart immediately, as the rolls were not tight, and they used the minimum amount of ingredients as possible to put together. Of the 4 pieces you get in a roll, the end piece is best described as half a piece. I ordered the '18 piece chef's pick' and if I knew what it consisted of, I would NOT have ordered it, especially costing $20. It came with 2 makis, 2 mini-makis, and 2 shrimp nigiri. I already talked about the shrimp, but I want to add that it wasn't made there, but looked like the pieces you'd get from a frozen package at T&T. Of the entire dish, only 4 pieces contained raw fish, which was the one maki roll with salmon and tempura flakes. The 2nd maki and the other two mini makis were vegetarian. Wrapping a piece of avocado in with rice and seaweed does not make it sushi. Wrapping julienne-cut cucumber with rice and seaweed does not make it sushi. I also ordered an avocado shake, which had a strange icy consistency to it, not what you'd get if you ordered one at a bubble tea place. I've made fresh avocado shakes myself so I know that this was made with slightly older avocados. It's a self-serve fast food restaurant no different than Tokyo Express or Sushi Corner, where you have to go up to order and go up to pay. Read more
Great restaurant. Very accommodating to gluten-free orders (offered to substitute tempura for crunchy vegetables to maintain size and construction of rolls). Super-friendly staff. Their rice-paper rolls are AWESOME, and perfect for lunch. My order was pick-up, but the restaurant looked cute and clean inside. Prices were not on the high ... end of sushi places. Four people paid 100$ (including tip) for a good size dinner. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Definitely recommending to others. We ordered online on a third party website, and picked-up on my way home from work, so it was very convenient. Overall, a pretty much perfect experience. Read more
