Was asking my colleagues what I should get for lunch today and someone recommended me to try Abdul’s BBQ. I came a bit early however he still greeted me right away. He recommended me the lamb wrap and wooow was it good. So filling as well. I’ll have to try ... the medium spicy lamb wrap the next time I visit for sure. Super wholesome experience for me today. Will definitely be back to try different variations and more of their menu. Really recommend anyone to visit this shop! The best shawarma in town. The meat is NOT processed like all of the other shawarma/donair places. Delicious roasted lamb, chicken and beef. The chili paste, garlic sauce and hummus all made in house from scratch NOT condiments from a bottle. I ordered a mixed wrap last Friday, I called in, was a lady who answered, said she would make it in 2-3 minutes, I was driving and was only 2-3 ,minutes away myself so gladly accepted, first of all there are always parking issues, but I still made an effort ... because it's Abdul's - one of the famous and most loved donair places. Dashed in, paid, got my food, drove away and pulled over in a car park to eat as I had to rush back to work. To my dismay the wrap was icy cold, except for the meat that was slightly warm, the whole wrap was not compressed nor toasted nor nothing!!! No salt, tasteless and to my dismay as soon I unwrapped the top half of the wrap the whole wrap split in half!!! I took a bite and realized the hot sauce was smudged just in the center only. Yikes!! I wouldn't even wrap a dog's food this way forget about giving it to a human! I used to go to Abdul's every time since he opened years ago, but I noticed since he is not in the store himself, it has not been the same. I sure did waste my time, my efforts and of course my money plus a good tip!!. The birds and crows ended up eating my food. Great tasting chicken shawarma! The chicken shawarma here is the closest to taste as the shawarma I've had in Qatar. Also, this place isn't too busy during lunch time and I was able to place an order fairly quickly. Location is pretty good as well. Located in crystal mall on the ... Kingsway side.
