I love the food and service and atmosphere so much, one of my favourite local breakfast spota

I got the cottage cheese perrogies and they were fantastic. The cream sauce was different than what I'm used to but still very good. The cabbage borscht was absolutely delicious. This was a larger lunch. Staff were friendly but only saw them to order, when they brought my lunch, and ... my bill. Cleanliness I would give a 4/5. Some tables hadn't been cleared in a while and salt and pepper shakers could use a wipe, although floors and windows seemed clean. Would come again. Read more

A little bit of a hidden gem in downtown Winnipeg. Great coffee and breakfast. From classic breakfast to Corned beef hash. I’ve never had lunch here but they have pirogies, and soups, burgers snd more. Highly recommend for breakfast!

Lunch today, Wed Feb 28/24 with a colleague. Tried the coleslaw chicken burger which is a generous piece of crispy fried chicken on a bun with coleslaw and a Korean spicy mayo sauce. Chose Mennonite cabbage borscht with a nice chunk of farmer sausage as an included side dish. ... Absolutely delicious! Good value at $16.50 before tax and tip. Service was fast and friendly. Not a single other person in the restaurant and it still took over 40 mins to get our food, water glasses were plastic and old. Not the worst place I’ve ever been too but very close to it. The food itself wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t return unless I lived in ... the apartment above it. I typically don’t rate 1 star unless it’s warranted. Read more
