Went here on a Thursday night. Great place to grab a drink as it had slot of seating and the servers were quite attentive. I order fish tacos for food it took quite a while probably close to half an hour as it turned out that the printer in ... the kitchen ran out of paper. The fish tacos were quite good, it had a nice mango salsa with a coleslaw and the fish was nice and crunchy. The chips and salsa that came with it was a bit spicy. Overall, it was quite enjoyable. We decided to check out Jimmy's as we were exploring the neighborhood near the hotel. Happy Hour starts pretty early (at 3) and having skipped lunch, we were a little hungry, so we decided to have a drink and snack on an appetizer or two. We had just ordered a ... glass of white wine and a pint of local red ale when it dawned on us that the snowstorm that had been threatening us all day was nearly upon us. So, we upped our game and ordered dinner! Dinner turned out to be a great idea. I ordered a full slab of baby back ribs and my companion ordered a salmon sandwich. As it turned out the Monday Special was a 50 percent discount on a second burger, sandwich or entree! The salmon was freshly grilled and served open-face on a bed of lettuce with sliced tomato, a little red onion and a tasty sauce. My ribs were slow-cooked to perfection and served with a tasty (albeit a little sweet for my taste), Canadian maple sugar-based (what a surprise, eh?) BBQ sauce. Both meals were served with a choice of fries, Cajun fries or salad. Though I was tempted to try the Cajun fries, I opted for the standard fries. Cajun seemed a little or out place in B.C., so my companion selected a Caesar salad which she graciously shared with me. We came here as a group of 10 or more every Friday for lunch for 2 years (we had a standing reservation). The food and service was always good. Over the past few weeks it had gone downhill. Last two weeks it took 45 minutes to get a ... drink and over and an hour and a half to get our food. The management of this place has gone to hell add well as the quality of the food. Avoid for lunch unless you don't mind waiting hours for drink and food. Read more
