Note: the restaurant is cash only so plan ahead. There is an ATM across the street at the gas station if you forget so it's only a mild inconvenience. Dined in person for a chaotic Friday dinner rush. The servers don't come to take your name so you have to go ... to them. There is no system for keeping track of who came first so many patrons push past any semblance of a queue to repeatedly call for a table. Some customers would even stand next to tables of people finishing in order to get a seat. As someone not of Asian background, there was a sense of the servers eyes intentionally skipping over you (not complaining, just hire it is). The servers are quick. They clear and turn over tables in a wordless orchestra of well-practiced routine. The food came out quickly and had large portions. The wonton soup with noodles was good, especially with chili oil. The beef brisket with radish was tender and well cooked. The deep fried cod with salt-pepper was delicious, with a light batter and a great flavour. Overall, the food is good quality but getting a seat is a battle. We would come back, but to pickup the food instead of eating in. Read more
A good place for da lang after 9pm. I usually enjoyed everything I got here. Service was never a problem for me here but this time one of the waitress was super mean to me when I was asking her for some napkins. I avoided her asking her for anything after. Always ... get the clams when I’m here (a tad undercooked this time though). Maggi leather fish is good as well. It’s nice to be able to order many smaller dishes for late night. We came here from a friend’s recommendation. We were greeted right away as it wasn’t a busy day. Seats were comfy and table size was decent. However this place only accepts cash so be aware of it before you order food here. Food taste was pretty ... good with decent portion size. However seafood dish mostly came out with veges and a few seafood ingredients. In this inflation time, it is somewhat accepted as a norm but you still get little disappointed. Our families, friends, and co workers, always get the family set menu. It comes with soup, rice, entree items, and dessert. Not many people know this but you can also bring them your fresh seafood and they can cook it for you the way you like. The boss lady will decide the charge.
