The Reservoir Lounge - Toronto, Ontario

We went Saturday night for dinner and music. The atmosphere is great. It’s dark, candle lit, and cozy. Our server was exceptional- we ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer, and a couple of mains. The food was just OK. At that price point, we were expecting more flavour. Danny B ... and band was playing 3 sets. They are quite talented musically but they played covers all night. They even played L.O.V.E by Nat king Cole and What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong and did not give either the justice it deserves. We drove down from out of town and stumbled across this amazing lounge and speakeasy live band. The vibes were immaculate. Think; Frank Sinatra and Elvis sitting side by side at an ambient 1930s rustic yet modern underground lounge. Much better than their neighbours and actually open! Bouncer was also ... very dashing and welcoming and towards the end asked if we wanted to stay for the second set. We had no idea a different band would be playing again, however, we had to drive out a long way home so we decided to put a rain check on it for now. This place is very good for couples or second daters who are looking to secure the bag and take their date home. She’ll be all over you if you take her here. I saw it with my own eyes. We been going to The Reservoir Launge for years. The staff is super amazing. Musicians are so talented and amazing we love them all. The manager Ray is always very professional and friendly. This is one of the best spots in the city to enjoy live music and amazing service, food ... and atmosphere. The reservation is necessary.They open the door sharply at 7.30 pm so coming before the time makes you wait outside. I loved the dimly lit ambiance from the very first step; very elegant and captivating that enhances the overall experience.The concert was excellent; qood quality classic jazz. Food was marvelous ... as well. Each dish unfolded its own narrative and design, revealing hidden notes of amazing flavors. A fantastic experience i recommend to all jazz lovers! Read more

Loved the vibe. We were lucky to go at a time when we got company in dancing. This lovely 60something guy had full on energy to dance through the night to an amazing blues band! Loved my old fashion and ricotta crostini. Entry was just $10 pp and we got lucky with ... seats in front of the band. Read more
