Venturing into The Flatiron: A Firkin Pub for the first time, my boyfriend and I embarked on a culinary journey that left us with mixed but mostly positive impressions. While my boyfriend opted for the classic comfort of mac and cheese, I decided to dive into the beloved British staple of ... fish and chips. The mac and cheese, while enjoyable with its blend of cheeses, didn't quite reach the heights of culinary excitement. It was good but lacked that extra oomph to make it truly memorable. On the other hand, my experience with the fish and chips was nothing short of revelatory. The crispy batter encasing the juicy fish was fried to perfection, striking the delicate balance between crunch and tenderness. Each bite was a symphony of flavours, accompanied by fries that were equally satisfying. In fact, I dare say it was the best fish and chips I've ever had! However, a minor disappointment came in the form of the lack of complimentary veggies. While understandable given the pub's focus on bar food, a little bit of greenery could have elevated the overall dining experience. The Flatiron: A Firkin Pub offers a mixed bag of culinary delights. While the fish and chips stole the show with its crispy perfection, other dishes like the mac and cheese fell slightly short of expectations. The food was bad, the service was okay (very nice, I do not blame them for the food or the kitchen), the location is excellent but the table was wobly (our poor server had to wedge coasters under it to keep it afloat) or full of cobwebs (we moved table) We ... had the cheese spinach dip, the cob salad, and the Caesar salad with a side of chicken. We went there on Saturday afternoon. We got the VIP Platter to share. It is a really good portion and tastes good. We ordered two different coquetel drinks, and both were delightful. The beer was very cold. The service was good.

We went for drinks. Their own brew tasted good and was better priced than the others. Their menu is accessed by QR code. We didn't find anything exciting on the menu and went off in search of it.

Love the exterior of the building. I always wondered what was inside and to my delight a restaurant was underneath! The food was fantastic, the servers were so friendly, and it was nice quiet atmosphere. Options to sit outside or inside where the decor is British Invasion with lots of screens playing ... sports.
