Orwell’s Pub - Toronto, Ontario

Finally checked out Orwell’s when looking for a comfortable drinking hole near home. I like the old decor like a British pub. Quiet Friday night. Food is good pub fare, nothing special but tasty. The wings were pretty great and I recommend getting them. The house Pilsner is a good ... cheap drink at $6 when everything else in this neighborhood starts at $8. While you won't get some groundbreaking delicious food, the staff are incredibly inviting and the pub has a welcoming vibe. They follow standard vaccination procedures and have a large menu. The fish and chips and chicken tenders were good but nothing amazing. The beef selection and prices were great and ... it has the appeal of a place to regularly visit for a good social gathering. Had a quick visit, wings were piece a dollar. Was delicious. Worth the buck. Also had the soup of the day, Butternut Squash and potato soup. It was yummy though I think little bit too much potato. 🐕 Pet Friendly Patio 🐕 Had a craving for wings..... And I remembered my neighbor saying that Orwells has the best wings in the city. Called in to see if they let dogs on the patio. And they Do! We ended up ordering 40 chicken wings platter, nachos, calamari and jalapeno ... poppers. Washed it down with a couple of pints of Guinness. Right across the street from the Atlantic Station. Really nice local pub, the atmosphere is really fun. Food/drinks are always good. The staff is always really welcoming and quick.
