Konrad Lounge - Toronto, Ontario

Konrad Lounge is closed for renovations until February 2020! Rarely have I stopped in to this local pub. I know a couple of the barmaids, so on a late Friday evening I decided to drop in for a nightcap and a snack. Lo and Behold, I find out that ... there IS a Konrad and he is standing at the bar with a tall willowy short-haired blonde. My spidey sense tells me that they are Russian, judging from their accents. Anyway, I ordered some chicken wings to complement my Bloody Caesar. Deliciously lathered in Spicy sauce and accompanied by celery and carrot sticks with Blue Cheese dipping sauce. Messy to eat but delicious. Definitely a "Go Back To" neighbourhood watering hole. I had no idea how much food was on a plate of Nachos Grande! Nevertheless, I was hungry enough to finish the entire serving. Now that I can barely fit into my jeans, I will know to share this offering with a mate or another patron at the bar... Friendly neighborhood bar. Good finger food. Has pool table in the back .

I went to Konrad Lounge for their karaoke night which happens on Fridays. I liked it because I was able to pick a few songs and get up and sing. I also made a couple of new acquaintances and had a lot of fun. Thank you for a great night!

If you are looking for a fun friendly atmosphere this is NOT the place to go. The people who frequent this bar are clearly on bad drugs. Feel sorry for the staff as they were quite pleasant & professional despite the rude and obnoxious people.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. If you want a bar to become a regular at and you know the area I'm sure it does the job. Horse racing and darts above tables. Loud boisterous patrons drown out the loud boisterous music. Come here for that country dive bar ... flavour. Nice bartender. Read more
