They got a lovely turntable in their library. Atmosphere was great. The service was a little bit chaotic and their food was on the average.

Very cool old school pub with a lot of character. The upstairs is a completely different vibe for chilling out and having some drinks. While I’d consider this a dive bar, don’t be fooled about the food. Overall I had a good first experience at Imperial. Decently priced pitchers ($20-$23) including some great craft beers. Only gripe was the time it took for the bartender to ask what we'd like, despite sitting and staring at them while they chat and drink what I can only assume was ... beer? Anyway, they were all pleasant and none were rude, just think there is something to be said about ignoring patrons sitting 6 feet from you. Great service and I am not exaggerating at all. Literally the best mozzarella sticks I have had in my life. They must be made in house. Amazing. Their nachos are great ratio of cheese chips and toppings and were really tasty. This place has a great atmosphere and pool tables. Two ... floors. Read more

DISAPPOINTING, to say the least. The Imperial is basically a classy "dive bar." It definitely has character and attracts a diverse crowd with two levels and two bars with a medium-sized outdoor patio. Service was polite but ultimately disorganized and terrible. The Imperial is also VERY poorly managed, ... and indeed, NO management was evident at all on the evening of October 5th. I was there with 3 friends, and virtually every order was messed up in some way, and/or certain dishes did not come at all! One person was celebrating her birthday, and only half her order came. And her 2nd beer order never arrived with NO explanation. Indeed staff were rushed and doing a shift change, and THEN simply disappeared! No one, including a manager or owner, came to ask how our meals were or if they were messed up or missing. Which was obviously the case. Ultimately we had to go to the bar to pay our bills! The food that did arrive was acceptable and reasonably priced. The patio and bar areas are reasonably well maintained but could be cleaner. Overall, the Imperial is/was a MAJOR disappointment.
