Very busy lunch place that day. Looks like lots of regulars occupy the bar. The server was a very nice woman who was very busy but managed to bring and refill drinks with ease and take our orders and serve them very timely. The nachos were plentiful but i have ... had better. The wings were meaty and served with carrot sticks which were fresh. the Greek salad was average but the French onion soup was tasty. I think the prices were reasonable and while the place needs a bit of a touch up, I expected this in a pub. They have a no hat policy while eating which i applaud them for. Nice to see manners maintained in this pub in an otherwise misguided world. Would return. Read more

Black Dog Pub never disappoints! We go here from time to time as it’s a neighborhood establishment, has been connected to the community for a very long time and has great food, ambience and service. Always look forward to coming back!

Would go here from time to time and always enjoyed their Schnitzel. However this time around, I wanted something different and ordered the Roast Beef Yorkie. Friend's birthday. Chose the covered patio for lunch - started with a "Dogtini" and a "Negroni" from their drink menu followed by Cobb Salad and Steak Sandwich. All excellent! Wonderful service. Lovely space this, was packed even on a Wednesday night. The food portions are massive and great value for money. I loved the pork schnitzel and the prawn gratinee starter we had. My friends ordered a Ruben sandwich and Fish n chips, tried a bit and they were great too. ... The cocktails here are pretty potent and they also have a decent whisky selection.
