Milestones - Surrey, British Columbia

My granddaughter treated me out to a beautiful brunch at milestones over the weekend, and for it being my first experience at this restaurant, the food was absolutely divine and very fresh! Even our service from our waitress Ashley went above and beyond! She was very charming, helpful, and fast ... with all of our beverages and meals. She made our experience 100% more memorable! The food we were served was decent, but the service on the other hand was terrible. Our waitress greeted us approximately 10 minutes after we were seated. I had a question about the ingredients in the sangria, so she went to check. She returned 10-15 minutes later to tell me ... what was in it. At this point we hadn’t even been served water. We ordered drinks, an appy, and entrees. I also asked for water. Given that there were already cups on the table when we were seated, and it was 25 degrees today, it would have been best for the host to quickly fill the waters upon seating us rather than waiting on the waitress. Again, 10 minutes later, the waitress returned with our ordered drinks, and then brought water. By this time our appy arrived via a host and no side plates were brought or offered. We didn’t see our waitress again until after we had consumed half of our entrees. We were never offered another drink or had our waters refilled. A dessert menu was dropped at our table side without any comment, and then another 15 minutes went by before the waitress returned to ask if we wanted dessert. Given that the restaurant didn’t seem busy at the time we were there, it appears that some training or better organization around staff table assignment is needed. With so many other restaurants in the area, I don’t see a reason to come back. Read more

My visit to Milestone was a first for me. The atmosphere was quite basic and didn't stand out in any particular way. The food was ordinary, without any memorable flavors or unique presentations, and the prices seemed high for what was offered. On the positive side, the restaurant is located ... within a mall in White Rock, making access very easy. Additionally, the parking is free, which is always a nice perk. Despite these conveniences, the overall dining experience was rather average. I am not sure of how well to place the price compared to other dinning experience of same price in recent times, other than saying it is higher. Milestones has brunch? My expectations were not set too high coming in, however, I must say brunch was a solid 5/5. The value for the food quality was something you don’t often see at most restaurants anymore. We will be back.

My first time to try this restaurant. Nice and quiet environment inside. I ordered soup and salad, my friend ordered Salmon main dish, all fresh and delicious. Worthy to come again with friends or families together. Will recommend to my friends or clients if they need.
