I’ve been to the other location in Vancouver many times in the past with no complaints. I have to start by saying- the space itself is lovely, the staff is very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the quality of food is just not there anymore. We ordered fish tacos which ... were extremely over fried, the tortillas tasted stale, and the quantity didn’t justify the cost. This restaurant is a great place to get Mexican food. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone, and I've not had a dish here yet that I've regretted ordering. Easy 5/5 for food. The Atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent too, it's clean, it's themed, it's well thought ... out, it's wonderful. The weird part is service. Ordering your food is more like a fast food joint than a Restaurant. You order right at the front, and pay up front for what you want. Then pick out a table yourself and a Server will come and bring your food to you. After that, there's little to no staff interaction for the rest of the time. To order more, you have to go to the front and order at the till again, which can be awkward and time consuming especially when there are others just walking into the restaurant to begin their own meals. This can create a big interruption during a dinner with a significant other or friends, or even just in your own meal. I feel like for the 25-30 dollar price tag per person, I would've liked a better service system. That being said, I will still be returning, the food and atmosphere make up for the strange system in place, but it would overall be a better experience without it. Read more

Food still excellent but quantity was very disappointing. I was last here 2 months ago and the size of the bowls of rice and beans were huge. They've now downsized to a tiny bowl holding about 2 spoonfuls of each. Ridiculously downsized. Honestly, rice and beans are the cheapest foods ... on earth. The location was clean and the staff member I dealt with while ordering was exceptionally nice and welcoming. I have come here from time to time over the years and it has seemed to go downhill (food wise) … with that being said I only order the tacos there, so ... other menu items are hopefully better. The tacos are about 3.5 inches wide and the tortilla tastes like plastic. The baja or Prawn taco can’t be eaten properly due to not being able to close the taco… you have to eat the protein then the rest of the taco. Glad to try this Mexico cuisine restaurant in South surrey. Inside environment is so spacious, clean. The waitress gave us free pudding, taste is good. My friend recommend some foods , they are all tasty and worthy to try. It is good choice for Mexico food .
