We used to go to this restaurant often, before moving to Guildford area. We felt like trying them out again, and were very happy as always with the service, the lovely atmosphere, and we were pleasantly surprised that although many restaurants have reduced their portion sizes, while at the same ... time increasing their prices, My Greek Taverna still offers a good portion at a fair price. We will be driving out to Newton in the future....so worth the drive. Also, Jeannie always remembers I don't take cucumbers in my greek salad, and she advised our waitress, Sophia (also great) before I even told her. Thanks Jeannie, for always making us feel special!! My wife and I love this restaurant. It’s kind funky set back a bit from the street and has a private feel about it. Any of the souvlakis are delicious. Our standard fare is chicken souvlaki. From the pita bread to the potatoe chicken n rice tasty and mouth watering. Only ... one thing I think could be improved is their coffee. Kinda weak with almost a hint of it being instant coffee, not sure, but I’d like to see them kick it up a notch on that one. Other than that I give it a 5 star rating all around. Read more
Just came from The Greek Taverna and felt a review was in order. This was our first time to this restaurant and it definitely did not disappoint. The service was fantastic, Sofia our waitress was top notch. We ordered the spanakopita and moussaka portions were very generous, hot, fresh and ... tasty! Our first time at My Greek Taverna. The service was great, The staff were very friendly. We had a large group, so the food came out a little slow, but we were ok with it as we were not in a hurry. The calamari appetizer is a wonderful portion size...definitely for ... sharing. The food came out hot and delicious. Every one of us really enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be going back!
