Reviews for The Samosa House in Surrey, British Columbia
Great food and great service. It was my first time ordering there and had a wonderful experience. They have variety of samosa bowls and the staff helped to choose the one according to my taste and that was masala bowl. Loved their service and will definitely be back.
Really poor preparations. Butter chicken samosa was disgusting, no flavors at all. Who used puff pastry dough for samosa? Seriously? Dripping in oil. Really disappointing overall.
😳 "We decided to try this company based on a friend recommendation…These samosas lacked the promised crispy fillo pastry and had subpar packaging. The pastry itself was thick & oily, not flakey. Despite our anticipation, the spicy samosas were a letdown in every aspect, and we were even charged extra ... for the spice! 🤷🏽♀️ For top-notch samosas, we recommend "Golden Samosas" we have been going to for years, located under the banquet hall on Nordel Way. Their pastry is perfectly crispy, the filling is deliciously balanced, and the price point is excellent." Read more
We ordered two of the butter chicken and two of the shahi paneer samosa along with the dahi bhalla. Dahi bhalla or dahi vada ., vadas were small and a lot of dahi around it but the taste was good! The samosa were good but we were given only one portion ... of the butter chicken samosa which was an incorrect order. The service was decent . They were out of the coconut lassi which we were looking forward to . Read more
The samosas here are extremely oily. The bottom of the bag was soaked in grease and I only found out later once I took it into the house. It was close to 1 inch of soaked grease on the bottom of bag. Its like they took a ... spoon to take out the samosa from the fryer. That is terrible and totally unacceptable. Not only that the samosas were soggy and the wrap around the filling was not even crispy. I don't recommend anyone coming here at all. It's one of the worst experiences I had and it ruined my day as I had to clean up the vehicle afterwards. I can't believe they can serve this kind of food like this. Samosas are supposed to be light, crispy and non greasy. Are there no food standards in place???? Read more
