Dairy Queen - Surrey, British Columbia

I've always liked Dairy Queen but this location has had some serious staffing issues. I no longer eat at any Dairy Queen because of my last encounter here. I cannot speak for the current staff but my last visit which was about a year ago. I pulled up in the drive ... thru at this Dairy Queen to find the menu board light turned off at 20 to closing. Waited for about 5 minutes for someone to respond. Finally a female employee came on the microphone. I told her I couldn't see the menu because the light was turned off. She let a giant sigh and turned it on. At this point it was very obvious she was trying to close the store early and I had foiled her plans. She made that very clear. When I got to the window she was incredibly rude and had attitude like you wouldn't believe. I ordered an PB Oh Henry blizzard. When I got home I realized she had given me some kind of cinnamon blizzard and not only that she had dumped a HUGE amount of cinnamon in it. Suffice it say I vomited shortly after. So to break it down for you, If you like paying top dollar for ice cream only to have some snot nosed teenage idiot give you attitude and try to poison you with ice cream this is the place to go. Terrible, will never visit again. Dairy Queen may want to better vet their employees because I'm sure this one is driving the customers away in droves. After reading some of the other reviews I'm convinced this nightmare of an employee still works there. Either that or there are more than one terrible employee working here. I always find (what I order) the food great there. Although, I only ever order ice cream/desert when referring to the food. I always find all of their locations, either empty or close to empty. And their prices are much too high, which is why I only go there once in a ... while. I enjoy it whenever I do go though. Read more

Just got a small pineapple milkshake (my favorite) at the drivethru here for $6.30 The pineapple is fermented and disgusting. The location is so inconvenient as well My love affair with the DQ Pineapple milkshake is over thanks to this experience

Went to DQ to get a birthday ice cream cake for my son. Very happy with the photo on the cake. The lady who assisted was helpful and polite. My son loved the design. Can’t go wrong with ice cream cake. Thank you!

Rusty DQ. Stopped by around 11 pm for some treats. It wasn’t that busy but they seemed short staffed and they were going back and forth between in-store and drive-through customers. Customer service could be improved.
