Food was good, the elderly lady seemed pleasant. The Elderly man needs to microcode or somthing. Very rude. We sat down and within 3 min he walked up and asked us for our order and we politely told him we needed a couple more minutes to decide. He looked at us like ... we just killed his dog. After we gave the order he went and sat a couple tables away watching loud videos and blowing his nose and horking spit into a napkin, it was disgusting to listen to while eating eggs.... This guy should retire asap cause besides for him it's a nice little restaurant with pretty good food. They would probably get more business if they didn't have this Scrooge running the front of house. While we were sitting there an older man walked in and before sitting down went to use the washroom and the owner snapped at him and said that's for customers only go somewhere else, and the guy was very confused and just said he was going to be a customer but then walked out. Never again. Food was tepid. (6 of us) Scrambled eggs looked like a flat pancake. Older man waiter had no personality. Not attentive. We had to ask for coffee refills. Water was lovely and cold, no refills offered. Four other guests, not busy. Beet soup was ok.

This place took me back to when I was a kid hanging out with my grandparents and eating the best food of my life. I am Ukranian and am spoiled with the worlds best food in my family. Love everything about this place... even the drink cooler hum A lot of the menu is homemade The pierogies were fresh, simple and delicious! Good breakfast too, no deep fried potatoes etc

First time eating at this establishment. Elderly couple from Romania own and run the place. The elderly woman was very pleasant and kind, her counterpart not so much, just seems bitter and most likely wakes up on the wrong side of the bed daily. Sat down and first thing I ... noticed was a dirty table: bread crumbs everywhere. Coffee was garbage at $3.00/ cup. Breakfast was mediocre/ average, not terrible but certainly nothing memorable. Decor was outdated - see photos. Plenty of better breakfast spots to choose from in Cloverdale. Will not be returning. Read more
