DQ Cakes at this location are horrible. Poorly put together. Multiple times I’ve gotten cakes here and they lack the proper amount of ice cream,cookie crumble and fudge. For the over inflated prices of ice cream cakes now, it’s not worth it. 0/5

They neglected to include whipping cream on my shake without asking, which would have been acceptable if the service had been good. However, when I brought it up, I was made to feel like a picky customer. Moreover, they gave me the wrong ice cream flavor, and out of the ... three drinks I ordered, two were incorrect. To make matters worse, when I accidentally dropped my ice cream while explaining the mistake to the cashier, nobody offered assistance or even acknowledged the situation. I felt incredibly embarrassed as I cleaned up the mess on my own. Overall, the customer service was extremely poor. No more Dairy Queen for me. Read more

We recently came out to South Surrey,B.C. We love Dairy Queen back in Ottawa. Bought 3 boxes of Buster bars. Turned out that they were nothing like the Buster bars bought elsewhere. Few peanuts, no chocolate in the middle and smaller than normal. When I went ... back to complain. I was told this is how they make them there by the Assistant Manager. We did try 2 other items. I wish I'd thought to take a picture, but just had the sloppiest, greasiest #9 original cheeseburger tonight. Although it didn't taste too bad, the texture was soft and mushy and grease dripped down my hands. There had been a mix-up in the order, in the end I was ... told it was my husband mis-ordering, but he insists not. Whatever, it's $3. He was gracious and didn't repeal the order. (I would have). When he opened his burger, it was wet, sloppy and greasy-- and the bottom of the bun looked like it had soaked in the meat's fat and 1/4 of it was super grey and soggy. My husband never takes things back. He took it back. Later as I quietly discussed it with the lady behind the counter, she was very lovely and apologetic. I said "Dairy Queen used to have such a good reputation about their burgers" and she said "We still do!" and I sadly said, "Not with me anymore. I'll never eat another burger here." Purchased a box of 6 Buster Bars. These bars, although described on the box as having 3 layers of “thick fudge” and peanuts, were 95% ice milk. I went back to return the remaining bars and the staff did not believe me. One staff member said there is only ... ever 2 layers of fudge and nuts despite the box photo clearly showing 3. In front of several customers, the manager cut one of the remaining bars up completely on the counter and guess what? Almost no fudge and peanuts. Despite this, they still weren’t going to refund the $21. Finally after I explained that I’ve been a regular customer at this location for more than 30 years and asked them why I would be in the store trying to get a refund if everything was fine, they relented and gave me a refund. No apologies or anything. These staff members know nothing about customer service. These products are made in the store and the quality control is nonexistent.
