Great Pub, i believe they're called White Hart now? food is decent but the bartenders are frikkin awesome with great personalities. Karaoke was super fun too ( we didn't know there was karaoke that night ) the regulars singing are all friendly. food prices were good. drink ... prices are good as well My only gripe is they charge $2 to play pool. that is the most expensive pub pool in the whole lower mainland. Great place we discovered by chance. I'd driven by this place for years but never went in until last night. It's actually in a great quiet spot but the most important thing is the food. The Caribbean food was really good and the fried dumplings were awesome and authentic. It's ... hard to find that in the lower mainland and I ordered 36 for me and my friends because they were that tasty. An awesome little gem in the heart of Surrey. I went to my friend's 71st birthday party. She had booked the patio for this event. Knowing they had a party of at least 22 guests booked in advance, they were short staffed and an invited guest who was a close friend of my friend who was having the party ... ended up volunteering to help with the serving I couldn't believe it! She just wanted the party to go as smooth as possible and did it out of the goodness of her heart. Kudos to her, boo to the Hook and Ladder for not stepping up and making sure that this really sweet lady had a decent party. Several of us had to wait over an hour for our fish and chips when it was part of the party menu. The cook brought some of the food out even though she was very busy. Thanks to her, we finally got our fish and chips. The food was very good once it came. But then someone instructed the volunteer to start clearing the tables while we were surrounding the cake and birthday girl singing Happy Birthday. The food is great. Everything is $4.95. The place itself was a bit outdated but we enjoyed it and will be back.

Been at this pub a number of times now and have enjoyed it much. Friday night karaoke has been a blast each time. Enjoyed the company of the regulars quite a bit. Food has always been excellent and reasonably priced. Staff have been consistently upbeat and attentive. Big thumbs up, ... folks! Read more
