Clydesdale Inn Pub - Surrey, British Columbia

Where do I even start... there is no check-in desk, so when my husband and I got there, we went to the bartender at the bar attached to the hotel and asked to check in and she had the rudest attitude towards us. She couldn't find our reservation so she ... told us to go next door to the attached liquor store to see if they could find it. They couldn't find it either so it was a huge hassle to get us our rooms. We finally got our rooms and when we walked in the door, our "bridal suite" as they called it had one couch, one chair, and one queen bed with old blood stains on it. The shower also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Sleeping was tough because it is right next to a main road as well. Waking up in the morning, the shades did not keep any light out and there are no curtains. To make things worse, 5 minutes after waking up, the fire alarm in the building went off. PUB Old school type. Keno and the machine slaps, winners all day! Cold beer Decent service Pub grub nothing fancy and priced accordingly, specials offer good value! $6 weekend brekkie special - potatoes were good, my egg yolks were orange, yum!! WINGS!!!! Solid for sure. Wings are good, poutine good, fish. Fish and chips good. For a pub. ... Nothing fancy! That chicken burger wasn’t worth it, but the fries were great. Liquor store is pricey. Ouch. I loved the atmosphere of the pub and all the staff it's top rated. The highway so close was a bit noisy, but after a while, it didn't bother me.

Only went to the pub. Good food for the price as of the day of this review. Happy hour plates for 10 dollars is amazing. Sadly they discontinued their 25 cent wings.

The rooms are pretty sparsely furnished, outdated, and there’s no air conditioning…but the one I stayed in was clean. But it was overpriced. Would recommend that ownership invest in both heat and air conditioning for the pub at a very minimum. The pub- it might be a bit of a dive bar, ... but the service is second to none, the food is decent, drinks are cheap, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Free pool!
