Umami Sushi - Surrey, British Columbia

The service was nice and friendly, and the raw fish was very fresh, but the rolls were falling apart, and it was unevenly cut. This place doesn’t deserve the 4.4 stars that it had when we came, but it’s a good sushi place around an area with not much sushi.

If you're a sushi lover like me, this place is a must try. My friends and I visit this spot once a week and every time we're greeted with the same great service and the most delicious sushi. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, they always make us feel ... right at home. It gets quite busy but they manage to keep the vibe upbeat and the service top-notch. Definitely recommended. Never expected that this place beats other big ramen place. From the price and portion wise, also the taste better than what we expected!

We’ve been coming for to this Cloverdale location years. It is always good, and has never disappointed. Their food is consistently served well, portions are generous, service is always spot on. On this occasion, tried their Inari (5.50 ea), which was huge, the spicy was actually spicy. We also ... had a Negitoro roll (6.25), and the Umami Combo (31.95). This place was amazing!!! I always judge by the miso soup.....and it was amazing 👏 we tried quite a few different things and they were all amazing. I didn't eat the motoyaki, but reviews from my eating party were good. I definitely recommend the Stinky Roll lol it sounds ... bad but if you enjoy scallops and fried garlic chips.....this is your roll . I will definitely be back 😊 Read more
