Pho Sunrise - Surrey, British Columbia

Broth on the light side with a bit of sweetness, meat was decent portion and fresh. Reminds me a lot of a previous pho place in North Surrey (owners changed and now tastes totally different). The chili oil was a great addition.

Always good food here, the broth is rich in flavour and generous portions. The service is very quick and friendly. My Noodle bowl came out within 5 minutes of ordering.

My wife and I walked by this place on our way to London Drugs and we decided to pop in and grab a late lunch. My wife ordered a beef pho and I ordered the seafood chow mein. The pho was excellent. The broth was very good. No fat or oil ... floating on the top or throughout the broth. Very good. The seafood chow main was delicious. My only complaint was there was not enough noodles. Lots of veggies, prawns, squid and fish tofu but there was just a thin layer of noodles underneath which was disappointing. Just ordered from this joint. I've reviewed 20 Vietnamese restaurants & this place is very good. The lemon chicken is prepared amazingly ( I think they use turmeric.) Their fried rice is the you know what. I'd go order from them again

I was hoping for more quality authentic taste from this restaurant for it being closer to where I live, but was very disappointed. The spring roll was okay and the sauce was good, but only had shrimp and no pork. The pho flavor was most disappointing. Bland at best and ... no taste whatsoever. There were no flavors to the meat (tendons, beef flank, etc.) and it's as if it's just boiled in hot water. No hint of herbs/spice infused. The proportions were nice. For authenticity look somewhere else. I've had better pho elsewhere. Service was great, however, and the gentleman gave and refilled my tea. Read more
