Food is delicious but service is lacking. Water or menus were not provided until we called the server to order and had to ask. It felt more like self service than anything. Customer service was horrible . As I walked I the lady was sleeping it was red flag I should have left . The chief has to wake her up so I can place an order . The sushi I ordered the rice was extremely dry and it was cut in ... very think slices .. this place is a no for me . I don’t mind spending on food that you enjoy . I didn’t like it at all . This was my first visit to Kami and I was so happy with the experience. The server was very friendly, the food was delicious and the prices seemed on par with other Japanese restaurants I go to. Highly recommend!

Strawberry Hills Japanese restaurant- Kami is a fantastic place to eat where prices match food portions. The food was all around great 👌 Servers are so kind and patient. There are table buttons to push when you are ready to make your order which is such a cool way to get ... the attention of staff. The exterior is misleading to how gorgeous the interior is. Very styled and inviting. Overall a fantastic experience and if we are again in the area we will make Kami our go to food destination. Read more

The sushi itself wasn't bad, but there are better and the portions itself was pretty small for what they charge. The thing that brought the rating down was the service. It was pretty much non exitances. It's by no mean a knock on the waitress, but they are seriously ... understaffed with a single person running the whole restaurant. The same person greeted and seated us, took our ordered and served us. On top of the other tables she looked after, she was also looking after all the take out orders (skip the dishes and pick ups) and answering the phone, taking orders. We were there for almost 1 1/2 hours from the time we were seated until we were able to pay and leave. I remember this place being pretty good pre-covid.
