We have been Jade Valley loyalists for years. We recently moved to New Westminster but still only order from Jade - it is by far the best Chinese food in the Greater Vancouver region. A true hidden gem in Surrey serving up all your Chinese favourites from fried rice to hot pot and seafood. Perfect for eat in or take out. Service is warm and attentive. Deep fried chicken wings and deep fried squid is a must! Eggplant with spicy garlic sauce hot pot ... is also a hit! We went for dinner as a group ordered lots and it was only around $35/ per person. On Jan 19, 2024 I ordered Singapore noodles and asked for "spicy" as I like spice, also ordered almond chicken and deep fried spicy spareribs. Far from spicy, totally bland. Total waste of $67.00. The size of the almond chicken and ribs come in a small box that would ... hold a hamburger. I understand everything has gone up but $67. When I called and spoke to the lady who I placed my order with and told her there is no taste, she could care less. Total waste of 67.00 and will never order again. Read more

So ya, I ordered take out awhile. One of the container was poorly placed in. It had sauce and it should've been placed in a plastic sealed container. Oh wait, just one came in one of them, yay. Please stop using them cliché tin foil junk take-out containers. Oh ya, ... he recycled usable cloth take-out bag leaked and spilled all over the back seat floor... What happened to the chinese restaurants in Surrey, in general. It seems either fallen off or another unknown reason. One more thing, the portion size for the "dinner for two" was very disapointing.
