I’m upset with myself that I forgot our server’s name. I’m not sure if it was Megan or Morgan. My apologies! We had our intimate engagement dinner at S + L sometime ago and the service was impeccable. They made us pop a champagne bottle on the house for the ... celebration. She was so hands on with the service, we had so much fun and so did all our friends. It was our first time here because we were regulars at Earl’s which was just across them, but we are definitely won over by the service and ambiance. The food was good, the live music was a nice touch, and the ice cream that was made in front of us was such a cute little experience. We asked to increase our tip but I still think it wasn’t enough. We live in the Granview district of South Surrey, White Rock. There are lots of different restaurants so we like to try different places. We've passed by S+L Kitchen many times and finally decided to go there for lunch. It was a weekday, so I knew it wouldn't be very ... busy. It was very nice inside, a very retro look and clean. We were greeted right away and seated anywhere we liked since it wasn't busy. Our waitress came quickly and took our drink orders. After bringing our drinks we ordered our food. I had the salmon bowl, and my wife had the lobster bisque. My salmon bowl came with a nice size piece of salmon. It was very tasty, and the veggies were really good. My wife thought her bisque should have had a little more lobster in it. All in all the food and service was very good. Will certainly go there and try dinner. Read more

My evening here was ok. My steak frites was cooked well but lots of it wasn't chewable. The accompanying fries were tasty but portion a bit on the small side. The caesar salad with it was perfect! Our waitress wasn't the most attentive. I found most of the time we ... had to hail her down on her way past us. We loved our date night at this location. The food was delicious and our server Anshul was so kind and friendly. Place looks nice but food was meh. Nothing worth going back for. I never had a mashed potato so dry until I tried their mashed potato here. Also, we had to wait for such a long time for our food even if they’re not busy at all. Overall we’re disappointed ... and have no plans to return. Read more
