The mall is fine, good stores, the renovations are holding up fine, it's the surrounding area that makes you need a flak jacket, and an armored vehicle. Great place to get mugged or buy illegal narcotics. So stay inside the building and you'll be fine. If you want to feel ... nervous as all get out, bring your kids. I grew up hanging.out at this mall. It had a major glow-up from when I was a kid. Much improved safety, the architecture is decent. The ceiling looks like the inner hull of a boat from the inside. Which is pretty awesome. The common spaces are always clean and ... the cafeteria is perfectly full, you will always find a seat no matter how busy. The food choices are decent to choose from, as well as the stores. It will Continue to be one of my favorite malls. Read more

Every weekend we used to go this mall. Now I have stopped to go here because of surrounding and the negative vibe. There are variety of shops. Easy to purchase things at one place. Everything good but sometimes I felt the negative vibes here. Kind of darkness. Compare to Guildford ... mall or Burnaby, Richmond malls. Read more

This weekend we went to Central City Mall, which just a 2-minute walk from Surrey Central Skytrain station We went to different stores - Fresh Farm Produce, and The Brick, and enjoyed our lunch at Burger King. We ordered a Crispy Chicken Burger meal and Ghost Pepper chicken nuggets ... with Ghost Pepper Ranch. It was super good, a must-try. Then we headed to the T&T supermarket and explored the store and before going to our home we bought Buldak noodles from this store. The store was loaded with all the necessities for the Asians. I loved their desserts, soft and fresh bread, they were super spongy, cheesecakes, pastries, tarts, and all. Read more
