Our very first meal after landing in Newfoundland. We were on the way to our accommodations and were starving. The atmosphere was comfortable and the walls had prints of an artist based on Fogo Island. We just got Fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly. Super crispy on the outside, ... but glistening and not at all dry on the inside. The fries were exactly what you would expect in this type of place. Surprisingly, the coffee was quite good. This feed is From Keith's Diner in Gould's, Newfoundland, Canada. We've had a very busy week with both work and birthday parties, so we did not want to cook at all today! Tired, and hangry! We saw Keith's had a new special on - it was 6 fish, 6 wings, large fries, ... dressing and gravy and onion rings for $59.99. In we went to Keith's, which is always friendly and welcoming. We got takeout, as we really wanted to just relax and eat on our pajamas. 😄 The fish was absolutely beautiful. Super fresh and thick fillets, with only one tail piece in the order. Wings were crispy yet moist inside. The onion rings are some of the best I've had on the island. Fries dressing and gravy were good too. The only complaint from my partner was that the dressing wasn't warm. My only complaint with Keith's is that I prefer a lighter gravy. This takeout order took them 10 minutes to prepare, which was very good, also. Overall, a DELICIOUS meal from a business that is consistently good, and extremely friendly to the customers. 9.5/10. Amazing, friendly staff, and top notch, fresh, tasty food! We stopped unexpectedly, but didn't regret it. Not a huge beer list, but they did have Iceberg and Black Horse. Great lunch!

Food portions were really good most of our food was really good! Some of our fish was overcooked but overall very good. Hot wings are indeed hot was very yummy. They were out of scallops which was upsetting but they substituted for shrimp. Overall the experience was good. Diner was ... pretty messy on the floors and under the tables. Our servers kept in touch and made sure was all good throughout our meal. Read more
