La Vieille Maison du Spaghetti - Quebec City, Quebec

I went there for dinner cause my tourism company has booked this place. It seems like the restaurant sacrificed its quality in order to accommodate group guests. The chef doesn’t know how to cook steak. And the dessert is awful.

I came here 2 years ago and I hope to come back when I'm Quebec again. I really enjoyed it and I think this is the best Italian restaurant in Quebec. I love the spaghetti to go along with the beef. Great for our large group of 16. Simple but affordable fare with soup and salad bar meant no one left hungry or dissatisfied. Location is great for enjoying the city or touring the sites. Venue itself has tons of character, although the age of the building and incandescent lighting makes ... it seem a bit stodgy and dated. Service was excellent, on time, and very friendly. Read more

This place is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from outside. Understandably they do some excellent pasta. The lunch comes with a salad bar and soup, but the selection from the salad bar is fairly limited- nevertheless pretty decent. Certainly the highlight is the pasta ... rather than the saladbar. The place was very busy when I went but still had pretty good service. (Inexplicably, I was thirty-forty years younger than all other patrons). Overall recommended. Read more

Food was good and price was ok. Friend got a veggie pizza and it came out with bacon on it. Was disappointed in the service. My salmon dish was nicely prepared, but I doubt I would eat here again after that incident.
