When in Quebec city, do not miss an opportunity to visit Cartier St., its specialty stores and restaurant. If you are looking for great place to lay your hat and sleep the night off then Krieghoff Café and hotel is a well chosen destination.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in an amazing location on what must be the most interesting and vibrant street in the city. The breakfast was terrific, and service was very cheerful and welcoming. Rooms are for people who can climb stairs.

Great rooms, really comfy and clean. The cafe downstairs also had great food and atmosphere. Just a short walk away from lots of shops and restaurants, the art gallery, and tons of bus stops.

We chose this hotel because of the location, price and reviews. I can honestly say that it over exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The washroom was the cleanest washroom I've ever seen in a hotel. Other than one night when a plow/tow truck kept going ... by in the night the street was very quiet and because there are so few rooms available in the hotel the inside was also quite quiet as well. We went to the Bistro for one lunch and one dinner during our trip, and both times the food was amazing. The ambiance inside the Bistro was also bustling and lively, which showed how popular it was with the locals. The hotel is walking distance to the Fine Arts Museum, the plains of Abraham, and the main road has a lot of restaurants and little shops to visit. It also only takes about 10-15 minutes by bus to get to Old Quebec. We had a very pleasant experience. The only thing I would suggest would be to add slippers in the bedrooms so it's easy to walk to and from the exterior washroom without shoes on, and maybe find a way to secure the showerhead more in the holder (we had some issues with it falling out). However these are minor things that didn't affect our overall wonderful experience. I will note that to get to the first and second floor of the hotel you need to go up stairs, so if stairs are difficult for you it might not be the best option. Read more
