Highly recommend!! We tried the blind dinner tasting menu on a Tuesday. It was absolutely delicious, well balanced flavors, something for everyone, I’m still dreaming about it. One of our favorite dinners in Quebec City! The food and drink (beer and cider) selection were all delicious, and while we didn’t have cocktails they looked great. The oysters were fresh, and we loved the pork belly, cauliflower and fried chicken best. Cant recommend more!
Oysters were very fresh and tasty, bear’s fried chicken and marinated whelk were very tasty and excellent dishes, you can’t go wrong with them. Make sure to ask for spoon or bread not to waste the creamy sauce of whelk and chicken.
We tried to get into La Planque without a reservation right at 5:30 pm when they opened, but they were unfortunately fully booked and told us we could try next door at Le Cendrillon, which has the same owners. Although they were also fully booked, I convinced the host that ... we were willing to take the table outside and risk getting rained on and boy, was it ever worth it. The owner of the restaurant ended up serving us, and as a father himself, he was the most accommodating host we’ve ever experienced. Not only did we have the best meal we’ve had in a very long time, he graciously translated the entire menu to us in English, made incredible recommendations AND brought over a little container of toys for our toddler so we could actually enjoy our meal. This was far above and beyond what we possibly could’ve expected from a fine dining establishment like this one. I would give this restaurant 100 stars, if I could. The food was innovative and delicious and the natural wine and beer suggestions we received were also top notch. All around just a fantastic experience. Thank you again for such a wonderful time. Oysters are so small and yet so expensive! They were ok but nothing to rave about. The regular oysters didnt taste like much besides a bit of salt water. The grilled oysters tasted like only the heavy toppings that were placed on top which completely took away any flavour.
