I ordered lunch to go. 1/2 salmon 1/2 tuna sashimi (appitizer), ebi sunomono and gyoza. IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!! The bill came to $30, shocking! the sashimi was poorly sliced, and still frozen in the middle, the gyoza was deep fried, dry and chalky, and the sunomono ... noodles were mushy with prawns ontop that were dry and uncleaned. This was the worst sushi I've ever had. The service was very slow and there is no sushi chef. We ordered gyoza and shrimp tempura which I watched her take out of a box. The gyoza was fried to a very brown crisp. The shrimp tempura also over-cooked, breaded and ... unfortunately lined with fecal matter. The maki was very badly rolled and falling apart. The spicy tuna was not spicy and doused in a home made sauce, which was so sweet you could still feel the sugar granules in your mouth. I mentioned to the owner that I was disappointed with the food. She was visibly insulted and called someone and started very obviously/loudly complaining in Japanese over the phone. A few minutes later this young man walks in the restaurant. He then brings me another plate of gyoza. My husband informs him that we did not order an extra portion and the man looks at me and tells me he brought it because I "complained" about the last order, all the while this lady is giving me the stink-eye. We decide to leave. I go to pay and politely refuse when they offer to pack up the food left on the table. She then starts giving me hell while her son tallies up the bill. This place is awful. Not only is considerably more expensive than other restaurants, it only offers a fraction of items you would expect from a standard Japanese menu and the portions are little. $16 for a small amount of wafer thin salmon sashimi!

To whom it may concern, my family and I have eaten in this restaurant since it opened. This was about fifteen years ago. The food has been excellent all the way through. The owner is Japanese, she has a limited grasp of English. "Who cares" Look at the menu and point ... to what you want. I hope this helps, with your concerns. P.S.
