Steak Frites St Paul - Montreal, Quebec

This is a bring your alcohol type of place, which is a good thing because the food was way expensive. I settled for a $22 duck salad, which was essentially the kind of salad you'd expect from a place like Normandin (plain lettuce, one egg, one tomato, no sauce whatsoever?), ... with a side of duck with bones. Had to make my own salad I guess. The salmon tartare entrée was mediocre, though the Profiterole for desert was probably the best I've ever had. This place seems to revolve around the *all-you-can-eat* fries concept. They bring fries to your table pretty much every 5 minutes until you've had enough. Elegant, this place does serve one Montreal's Finest Steaks! The prices are little steep but very common for downtown

Great steak, bottomless fries and bring your own wine. Needless to say great night, great restaurant.

Don't ask me why but I took the tuna plate. Bad cut. Quite chewy. Expensive.
