It was a very cute restaurant, and the food was homemade and tasty. The food was a bit expensive for what it was offered. The service was very nice if you spoke fluent French. I wasn't sure why the server(or owner/associate) ignored me the whole time. I would not recommend ... coming here if your French is bad. Montreal is a tourist town. Run by a local family (Mom and Daughter combo) this place is a real gem. The food was good and the service was great and full of warmth from the family who run this spot. We were treated to many delicacies and they showed us the best of l'Isle Madeleine's ... hospitality with homemade dishes that showcased a real pride for the culture and offerings of this niche part of northern Quebec. For those wanting a true taste of a more rural Quebecois hospitality while visiting Montreal this is a must visit. It is one of the only places that I know of where you can eat authentic Quebecois fare, food that goes far beyond the standard poutine. Also the unique beer offerings were outstanding. Read more

Awesome food here homemade and delicious if you like seafood etc with great atmosphere you need to try this place you won't be disappointed I had the seal lasagna it was amazing!!

I have never had the chance to actually visit les iles de la madeleine myself, where my grandparents grew up, but this place made me feel right at home, from the excellent service to the impeccable food, and the bright and cheerful atmosphere.
