Ramen Plaza - Montreal, Quebec

Food is alright but a bit overpriced for what you get. EDIT* My 2nd time around — this is definitely the best I’ve eaten so far and well worth it! I’m beyond full and ready to pass out 😪 Oh and can’t forget how good the service is 👌🏾

Cozy ramen spot near beaubien subway station, the place as a very good date vybe, but as a ramen aficionado any events to go eat a bowl there, is legit. The karage was impressing, their ponzu-citrus mayonaise paired perfectly well with it. As for the ramen bowl it self everything from ... the meat to the broth was palatable, savory and well executed. Service is friendly. Karaage was tasty and reasonably priced. They have a great variety of different Ramen dishes which is cool. I first tried the Plaza ramen: the toppings, the meat portion and egg were top notch. Noodles were cooked nicely but the texture itself was just okay. As for ... their tonkotsu broth, it is rich and flavorful but way too salty which kind of compromises the whole experience. I then tried their Tokyo ramen and yet again, I felt the same way: each component of the dish tastes good on itself, but the elements just don’t come together as they should. The seasoning of the tonkotsu and the lighter broth was always off. Still it’s a pretty decent place worth checking out, with a nice restaurant atmosphere. Overall, I think it’s a bit pricey for the portion of the ramen. It has a very good potential, menu-wise. But, I think that the seasonings and flavor pairings are still to be optimized. Read more

Simple and tasty ramen. If you’re around Rosemont/Petite-Patrie and craving ramen, you should definitely give Ramen Plaza a try! Their gyoza is delicious and their vegetarian ramen is very tasty!

Karaage was good but not as crunchy as most places was a little oily but ok. Goyza lacked flavor but where well cooked. As for the ramen it was pretty good. Good ratio of noodles and other ingredients. The service was good as well. If you live in the northern ... part of Montreal or laval this is the closest Ramen place.
