The beer is always great here. Great atmosphere as well. But the service was definitely lacking on this most recent visit. I came in for a beer by myself, there was nobody seating guests at the door despite this being a full table service establishment. I went to the bar ... and asked the bartender if I should seat myself and he said "sure". I asked him if I should grab a menu and he said "yea, you can do that". He seemed like he had no idea. So I sat at a table waiting for someone to take my order for about 10 minutes. All while servers were walking by my table the entire time. I was about to leave when one of the bartenders finally came and took my order. I drank my beer and then I sat with an empty glass for about 5 minutes until I flagged somebody down to pay. We have been trying to visit for litereally years now and it's always been absolutely packed with people. They have recently renovated and doubled the size, opened a terrace... And it was still difficult to get 2 seats. This past weekend we finally found out why. A beautiful modern looking, comfortable ... interior including visible stills. We opted to sit outside as it was a nice day and we enjoyed a few of their excellent beers and and equally stellar poutine. Great drinks, great food and perfect location. This is a great example of everything you'd want a microbrewery to be and we understand now why it's so popular. Read more

Very great beers, quality and selection. IPAs, great Lager and Irish cream ale. Food is also extraordinary

Awesome selection of beers, some of which are so unique they can only be found at DDC! The service and food (loaded nachos) was also excellent.
