Based on all the positive comments I’d like to think that my experience here was just an anomaly. The pizza was bland. The sauce was pretty much non existent and everything just tasted like bread and cheese. The toppings were decent but the dough overpowered every other flavour. Though relatively unassuming from the outside, Pizza Il Focolaio was a great lunch spot for our family (kids ages 7, 9, 16, 17). There was plenty of space inside. (Outside seating is also available.) If you want pizza, this is the right place to go to. They have a wide range on variety (more than 50 options). We tried the margarita and malenzan pizzas. The dough was amazing however both pizzas were a little salty to my liking so I would rate it 8/10. ... We also got a Caesar salad which was refreshing and tasty and the serving was very generous. Best brick italian pizza in downtown, the crunchiest texture and most delicious toppings can be found here. I have been there multiple times and the quality never degrades. Their staff is wonderful and helpful and they speak fluent english which is big plus❤️
