Lafleur - Montreal, Quebec

The OG Lafleur restaurant, taking it's namesake from the street on which it opened. This particular location shall forever remain "Chez Vinet" for me, distinguising it from the other Lafleur locations. (Grandmother lived 3 houses over and knew the Vinets personally.) So I used to be a big fan of this chain. Family owners and run until they sold it to la belle province or belle pro can’t remember. Ever since it seems like the food quality has gone down. I used to love their Michigan hot dog steamie with ... coleslaw. Or a simple steamie with slaw and mustard. Problem is that the hotdogs always seem like they have not been cooked enough and texture tastes not fully cooked. Fries are the best in the city and their poutine is great except they do not put enough sauce or cheese and it’s quite pricy to begin with. Overall they need to get back I to the game and provide the Quebec population with an honest patate frites and chien chaud like the good old days please. Read more

Good old comfort food I haven't been to this place in more than 10 years it was delicious hot dogs french fries good sweet Pepsi it was a treat

As an Ontarian with family roots in Quebec, Lafleur has been a guilty pleasure on every visit for decades. I can't leave the province without getting my fix. Unglamorous and incredibly delicious. Never had a bad experience.

Hot dog was amazingly delicious. Bun itself was very soft moisturized and slightly chewy. It was just perfect! Nevertheless the sausage inside hotdog was so great. However, they put too large chapped onion on my meal and it burns stomach for awhile. Half star removed from there and another half ... star was removed from fries. Potato was too soggy and oily.
