Eggspectation - Montreal, Quebec

This is the second time we have traveled to Montreal and eaten here, and it does not disappoint!!! The breakfast poutine was the best I’ve had, the atmosphere was great, loved the music and our sever Nikitas was the best server we have had in Montreal!

Requiem : The restaurant has closed, which is sad because it was one of the best (and my favourite) restaurants in MTL. Service was very good, food was always satisfactory, and the atmosphere always pleasant. All patrons knew at least one staff person, if not by name then by face. So I’ve been to lots of breakfast/brunch restaurants. In my honest opinion, Eggspectation is more on the average side. Nothing really special or unique. Feels more like a homemade brunch which is not bad but very mediocre . It was also a bit pricey i would say, you can get ... better food for same prices. A brunch spot located inside of Rockland shopping centre. I ordered the Belgian strawberry caramel waffle. The consistency of the waffle was good but overall it was dry as there was little sauce. My partner ordered a standard breakfast and the potatoes are surprisingly good. The server was polite ... and efficient. This place is amazing the staff is super accommodating (Chris is the best) the food is always great! You probably doubt this being that it’s located in a mall, but it’s actually pretty amazing and never fails to impress us. Be prepared for a line on the weekend.
