I've been to this place years ago, it was great. So we went last night and the short short version; The waitress yelled across the restaurant at us to never come back. If you speak English I guess you're not a worthy customer. We walked in at 630 and sat down, there ... were two other tables for a total of 10 people. I counted because it took the waitress 10 minutes to bring us menus. We ordered in English and the waitress repeated everything we said in french. We asked questions and she responded in French. In my experince the staff will either politely say they can't speak English or do literally anything to try to accommodate, but not this time. I ordered the ceviche. They served it to me in a Sunday cone glass, avocado on the bottom ceviche on top. No plate, no utensils, no napkin. I took it as a hint. I had to ask for a plate, then utensils and a fork when they only returned with a plate. It was pathetically pedantic. Every time my request was repeated back to me in e—nun-ci-ated French like I was a child. They tired to bus our plates as we were eating off of them, twice. The churros that came with the table d'hôte were undercooked. We were there for 90 minutes, during which two other couples entered the restaurant. If they were busy that's understandable, but when the waitress spends the majority of the time on her phone at the cash ignoring the restaurant I'm liable to believe they just don't care. I did not tip and the waitress literally yelled at us across the restaurant to never come back ever, that we were banned. I didn't make it home before I started throwing up. I did make it home just in time for the rest of the food poisoning to occur. The pain felt like gastro. Maybe it was a coincidence, but i can't help but think it wasn't. The two people I was with had chicken and they did not share my symptoms. If you enjoy cumin being the only spice in everything (including the soup) and you like people treating you like a 2nd class citizen, i suggest this place. If you want to vomit in public get the ceviche. Read more
