I went to Taverne F for La Poutine Week and I truly enjoyed my experience. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The Portuguese chicken in the poutine was juicy and flavourful.
Very good food, fresh ingredients, great service, it’s a tapas place: we were two people and we had the grilled octopus, a salad, the chicken, the burger, the fried Calamaris and we were full! Great variety of drinks as well
Delicious food, nice place but it's so expensive.. small portion of food for each 12-15$ average which comes to 50$/ person at the end!! The reservation was fast and the table was really when we arrived with a very short notice, about 10 minutes in advance!
This location was really interesting, it kind of looks like a temporary set up on the outside but it's very pretty on the inside. I'm honestly surprised they let us in, everyone was dressed very nicely and we were wearing hoodies and sweatpants, but I was in town for a ... music festival and I'm Portuguese so I wanted to see if the food was authentic. Probably had the best octopus of my life there (and I've eaten a lot of octopus). My boyfriend had the muscles which were also very good. But OH MY GOODNESS I'm still dreaming about the the pasteis de nata! They were so warm and goey on the inside and flaky on the outside. I thought the caramel sauce & cinnamon was going to be too much but it was the perfect touch. I could have eaten 10 more. Also on a personal note I was very happy they the had real grapefruit juice, not that sugary pink garbage. Grapefruit juice is always great accompanied with seafood. Read more
For the price the food was ok. Drinks are really good, we went there during Montreal en lumiere and we did not feel like they rushed us. Service is fast. Overall its good but the food could be better.
