Tako wasabi and skewers were so good. I will definitely revisit when I come to Montreal next time.

Went in on a Saturday night. Ordered the Saba Zuke, Kushi Yaki - premium set and the Bibimbap. Also a couple more items, but these were the main dishes. As with all reviews, personal preference and dining experience weighs heavily. Having lived in Japan, we have a baseline but also adjust expectations to 1) How is the flavor? 2) Is it fresh? 3) Is it clean For our taste, we were a bit disappointed. I lived in Japan for years and this reminds me of many of the Izakaya. However they are super casual which I like but too casual a little, many people were in there and they seemed rushed but helpful. It was the end of the night so it was last call ... for the kitchen. Been here three times, one of my favourite spots in the city. I’ve never spent less than $75pp, but the rich, smoky and unique flavours are worth it.
