The food was good, however the service was sub par at best. We went with a group of friends and asked for forks. Apparently, the restaurant only has 8 forks. We also asked for extra spoons. All of their spoons were being washed (???). We were forced to go out ... and buy plastic forks (!) . One of my friends introduced me to this place. While I would always pass by and had found its decor strikingly interesting, I never took the time to check it out. I'm very glad that my first experience was with someone familiar with the restaurant! My friend had highly recommended their ... grilled fish soup with the spicy Sichuan flavor, which is what we ordered. Unfortunately, the menu was not very clear and we ended up having some spam in it. My friend spoke to the waiter and they graciously exchanged it without a fuss. Small things like this can really sour an experience, especially when it's not handled very well. But I came out having really enjoyed the meal and wanting to come back. This place is okay. It used to be packed and the last time we went there was no one, Friday night. There food is good, but somewhat pricey for what you get and the service is not bad, but also not great. We had to ask several times for simple ... things like water, napkins, etc. I've come here about 5 times, but with so many other great restaurants for the kind of cuisine, I don't think I'll be coming back. Rusted drinking cups, hair in half of our plates and passable food. I have been eyeing this place for quite some time now. My friends and I finally decided to give it a try. We walk in, get seated and the waiter hands us cups of water. My friends and I ... are staring at the cups trying to figure out what is this weird discoloration. The waiter sees us and tells us that "it's okay, it's just rust". Already off to a bad start. In comes the food, which was passable at best. The crispy chicken was extremely dry and tasteless, spare ribs looked like they were simply thawed a few minutes earlier with some sort of gelatin-like substance on them, which I assume is the sauce. The pork tripe and mapo tofu were okay, until we notice various hairs in our plates. We kindly informed the waiter who profusely apologized and asked her if the chefs wore hairnets, which according to her they do. We take a little peek at the kitchen and lo and behold, none of the cooks are wearing nets. Explains the hair situation. Although she kindly offered a refund for the mapo tofu, it doesn't change the fact that it was served along a side of disgusting curly hairs. Bad experience altogether. Read more

Couldn't finish the food since it tasted so badly of chilly. However many people enjoy this flavour since it is authentic Szechuan food. The main problem I had with the restaurant was rust in my partners' cup. I mean really?????
